We already know the RDNA 2-based integrated graphics in Ryzen 6000 mobile CPUs are powerful. The Ryzen 9 6900HS trounced the Core i9-12900HK’s on-board graphics. Using the same technology as found in AMD’s Radeon RX 6000 series of graphics cards is a winning formula.
But the Ryzen 7 6800U’s same ability to play games at 1080p at tolerable frame rates has far more real-world impact. Yes, even if your graphics settings are on Medium or Low.

Software & Zugänglichkeit
Auf dem Gerät läuft Windows 11 ohne große Anpassungen am Betriebssystem. Es gibt zwar eine Begleitsoftware, welche man auch per Knopfdruck am Gerät starten kann, jedoch war es das auch schon fast. Eine weitere Taste öffnet noch eine von Onexplayer gestaltete Bildschirmtastatur. Über die Begleitsoftware kann man die Auflösung, TDP und Lüftergeschwindigkeit anpassen. Ebenso sind Lautstärke- und Helligkeitseinstellungen vorhanden.
Mit dem Touchbildschirm kann man hier durchaus gut Windows 11 steuern, mit den angedockten Controllern kann man aber gar nicht so leicht auf den Touchscreen tippen. So wünscht man sich immer mal wieder eine angepasste Oberfläche. Klar gibt es den Steam Big Picture Modus, aber eine richtige Controlleroberfläche, woran Microsoft gerade herumexperimentiert, wäre noch eine sinnvolle Funktion. Bastelfreudige Nutzer können mithilfe von HoloISO sicherlich das Steamdeck Betriebssystem zum Laufen bekommen, eine einfache Lösung ist es aber nicht. Wir konnten noch kein AYA-Gerät testen, deren vorinstallierter Hub sieht aber nach genau so einer Lösung aus.
Der Onexplayer Handheld ist jedem, der schon einmal ein Windows-Gerät bedient hat, jetzt keine Neuerung. Deswegen würde ich hier nicht sagen, dass es Probleme bei der Zugänglichkeit gibt. Jedoch ist eine Nintendo Switch einfach komfortabler in der Handhabung mit dem Betriebssystem und physischen Spielekarten. Da es sich hier aber nicht um ein geschlossenes System handelt, kann in Zukunft ein Hersteller oder Community-Projekt, hier vielleicht Abhilfe schaffen. Bei der steigenden Zahl der Windows-Handhelds, wäre das zumindest nicht allzu überraschend. Vielleicht bringt Microsoft auch einfach direkt einen Gaming-Handheld-Modus, einzelne interne Entwickler dort haben auf jeden Fall Interesse.
Temperatur & Lautstärke
Bei den Geräuschen, die der Lüfter des Onexplayer 2 von sich gibt und bei der Wärmeabgabe des Gehäuses, war ich in beiden Fällen sehr überrascht. Ich hab hier mit sehr lauten Lüftergeräuschen und leicht angebrannten Fingern beim Spielen mit maximaler Leistung gerechnet.
Okay, den Lüfter hört man definitiv, wenn der Handheld gefordert ist, aber auch ohne Kopfhörer kann man hier durchaus noch angenehm spielen. Bei der Temperatur habe ich gar nichts auszusetzen; das äußere Gehäuse wird im schlimmsten Fall lauwarm. Reduziert man die Leistung oder spielt nicht so fordernde Spiele, dann bemerkt man den Lüfter und die Abwärme noch weniger. Damit hab ich nicht gerechnet und somit hab ich hier auch nichts auszusetzen.

The One XPlayer looks like the Nintendo Switch’s older brother, in many ways. Sure, its black and orange colour may not suit everyone, but there’s a lot to lvoe about its chunky design.
For one, the huge 8.4-inch screen that dominates the front of the console offers a 358 PPI pixel density and a resolution of 2560 x 1600 — that’s 2.5K in your hands.
Under the hood, its packing a Tiger Lake i7 Processor that tops out at 4.8GHz, with an integrated iRIS Xe Graphics 96EU (don’t worry, we’ll get onto FPS counts soon).
Each of the half-controllers on each side is modelled after Xbox pads, so you’ll get the classic ABXY buttons, thumbsticks, and D-pad, while the bumper and triggers feel great, too.
On the back, the power button doubles up as a fingerprint sensor for faster logins, and storage comes in M.2 drives up to 2TB, making this a true portable powerhouse capable of taking plenty of games on the go.
1) It’s plenty powerful in multithreaded tasks
Let’s look at the raw benchmarks for multithreaded productivity tasks, then dig into the data after.
When you look at benchmarks that make use of multiple cores and threads, like those focused on rendering or encoding, the Ryzen 7 6800U can post strong numbers. Our test results show some decent (and even sizable) double-digit gains on previous generations of processors. While the story here isn’t about a dramatic uplift in performance, the numbers do tell us this latest Ryzen processor is no slouch. You’re not compromising by choosing a chip designed for a thin-and-light laptop.
Sure, moving up to a Ryzen 9 6900HS would boost performance significantly—55 percent in Cinebench R23’s multithreaded test, for example. But you’d gain an extra pound or so (0.54 kg) as well. Our 14-inch 6900HS review laptop tipped the scales at 3.6 pounds (1.6 kg); our 13-inch 6800U review laptop comes in at 2.4 pounds (1.1 kg) and would be closer to two pounds (1 kg) with a non-touchscreen. That weight matters when your primary goal is to keep your backpack or briefcase light and you don’t need to crunch hard on big files. The 6800U packs a punch for its size. In fact, it’s not far off from the 6900HS’s predecessor, the 4900HS—just 2.9 percent lower in Cinebench R23.
The same consideration applies to competition like the Apple M1 Max MacBook Pro, too. It edges out the 6800U in Cinebench R23 by about 16 percent, for example, but the 14-inch version weighs 3.5 pounds (1.6 kg). The real competition is likely Intel’s 12th-gen Alder Lake laptops. Based on our look at Intel’s flagship H-class Alder Lake mobile processor (aka the top chip from a more powerful line of CPUs found in beefy, performance-oriented laptops), we expect Intel’s best Alder Lake U-class processor would offer a close fight, too, but those chips aren’t available yet.
Powerful Handheld Gaming Device
As a gamer, I can confidently say that the XAMMUE OneXPlayer 2 is a truly powerful handheld gaming device. Its gaming performance is comparable to that of a large-screen gaming laptop, providing high-quality gameplay in AAA titles like Genshin Impact, Skyrim, and Cyberpunk 2077. The device features an AMD Ryzen 7-6800U processor and AMD Radeon 680M graphics, ensuring smooth and immersive gaming experiences. However, one drawback is the battery life, which is not great and requires frequent charging. This can be a downside for gamers who want to enjoy extended gaming sessions on the go. Despite this, the XAMMUE OneXPlayer 2 offers impressive power and performance for those seeking a portable gaming solution.

Прокрашенный алюминий, краска которого не слезает спустя неделю — как у премиального планшета Microsoft Surface Pro, к примеру. Никаких широких швов. Никаких явных винтов. В каких бы условиях не использовалось устройство, за 2 месяца эксплуатации никакой грязи, пыли и жира от потных рук в щелях. OXP можно протереть тряпочкой из фибры и устройство вновь примет первозданный блеск, тогда как за неделю Steam Deck уже потерял заводской вид.
В то время, когда компании гонятся за чистотой планеты, делая упаковки с минимумом краски и оборачивая устройства в материал из втор сырья, китайцы насмехаются над модными тенденциями.
Для сравнения. Упаковочный картон Steam Deck сделан из таких материалов, что рвется от чиха. Да и внешний вид говорит, что вы купили себе набор замков в гараж, а не премиальный гаджет. Упаковкой OXP легко надавать тумаков и та даже не помнется. Крепкий лакированный картон, матовая обертка. Ничего лишнего, но со вкусом.
Возникает ощущение, что Китай пришел туда, где доминировала корпорация Apple 5 лет назад. Когда крупный бизнес уходит в сторону минимализма, делая всё, чтобы потребитель выбросил картон на улицу для последующей переработки, OneNetbook делает так, чтобы после распаковки хотелось поставить коробочку на полку. Вы покупаете дорогое устройство забавы ради, и упаковка — способ радоваться покупке, даже когда устройство не используется.

5) Battery life is great
The Ryzen 7 6800U offers a nice bump in battery life compared to its predecessor.

Unlike desktop PCs, the variability in laptop design impacts performance. Two laptops can have the same processor but notably different results in tests.
Battery life isn’t immune to this effect. How long a single charge lasts depends not just on the processor, but the battery size and the display’s power consumption, too. Still, a battery benchmark helps identify which chips provide particularly good or bad performance, even when it’s a simple video rundown test.
AMD has claimed Ryzen 6000 processors can reach up to 24 hours of battery life, but their testing methodology uses a dimmer, more-energy efficient screen brightness of 150 nits. Because of the lack of apples-to-apples comparison, what’s more important here is how the Asus Zenbook 13 with the 6800U stacks up against the same model with a 5800U—you get a 25 percent bump in battery runtime. An extra three hours is a tangible increase, and backs up the idea Ryzen 6000 improves on battery life compared to previous generations. In the end, that’s what matters.

Это удобное, тихое и функциональное устройство. Если хочется потратить меньше, но важно иметь всю ПК-библиотеку, а также ещё персональный компьютер «про запас» — лучшего кандидата, чем One Xplayer, не найти. При условии, что вы готовы мириться с диким шумом вентиляторов, тяжестью и не самой удачной эргономикой. Плюс, не против потратить пару недель и нервные клетки, настраивая консоль.
Насколько мощным не было бы устройство — только на личном опыте удаётся узнать все подводные камни. 2 месяца игрового опыта OXP перечеркнуты одной неделей владения Steam Deck. Эргономика, вес и простота использования устройства способны перечеркнуть недостатки Steam Deck и преимущества One Xplayer.

The dream of the PC in the form of a portable console
For a long time, this idea of a truly portable and console-shaped PC has been pursued to be able to play comfortably wherever you go. With the One Xplayer it seems that it has been achieved, although it remains to be seen when it reaches the hands of the first owners if it really complies and if it makes sense today.

You may already recall this info from the Ryzen 9 6900HS launch, but in case you forgot, Ryzen 6000 processors come with platform upgrades, too. So when you’re looking at laptops with the Ryzen 7 6800U, you’ll want to weigh more than just performance benchmark results.
Ryzen 6000 series CPUs support PCIe 4.0, USB 4, DDR5 memory, Wi-Fi 6e, and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.2. For a notebook with a U-class processor like the 6800U, that translates to fast storage and memory, as well as quicker data transfers with USB devices and over wireless connections. USB 4 ports also support DisplayPort 2 and charging, reducing the number of cables you need. These are the kinds of features people may not immediately think about when comparing current laptops against older models, but they can make a material difference in your day-to-day experience, especially as the notebook ages.
3) It’s good, but not great for basic productivity
Most people don’t think about finding the best laptop CPU for office work. But if you spend your time in Outlook or PowerPoint to the near exclusion of everything else, you actually might want to pay attention to benchmarks for those programs. At least, you should if you’re deciding between a high-end Ryzen 6000 U-class chip and other contemporary options.
