А вот чувствительность к нажатию поддерживают не все стилусы Apple. Эта важная возможность присутствует в моделях первых двух поколений, тогда как Apple Pencil 3 (USB-C) её лишен. Силой нажатия стилуса можно влиять на толщину линий, действие похоже на рисование чернилами или фломастером.
Маркетологи Apple решили, что эта функция нужна не всем пользователям, так почему бы от нее не отказаться в пользу удешевления устройства?
Зато два последних поколения стилуса поддерживают функцию «Apple Pencil hover». Она остается эксклюзивом для iPad Pro M2 2022 и более новых «прошек». Суть ее состоит в том, что планшет обнаруживает близкое присутствие стилуса перед экраном.
Разные у всех трех стилусов и возможности подключения к планшетам и зарядки. Первое поколение устройства получило разъем Lightning в виде штекера, второе вообще не имеет разъемов, а третье обладает универсальным материнским USB Type-C. Магнитное крепление присутствует в Apple Pencil второго и третьего поколений. Это позволяет примагничивать стилус к боковой стороне iPad. Однако и сам планшет должен иметь совместимость с Apple Pencil 2.
Все базовые iPad, старые iPad Air / Pro / mini эту возможность не поддерживают и магнитить стилус не смогут в принципе.
Стилус второго поколения получил две эксклюзивные опции. Первая – двойное касание. С помощью этого жеста можно быстро переключаться между двумя последними инструментами, например, между карандашом и ластиком.
Вторая опция – бесплатная гравировка при покупке в официальном магазине Apple. Можно прямо на стилус нанести имя владельца устройства.
