The story with gaming is the same with both phones, and it’s not the happiest story. Both phones are decent when it comes to gaming. They tackle basic 2D games with no issue whatsoever. Games like Fishing Paradiso, Sweet Sins 2, Dream Hopper, Survivor.io, and others like them run perfectly smoothly.
Moving onto lower-end 3D gaming, it’s pretty much the same. Games like Dragon Ball Legends and Sky: Children of The Light don’t slow the phones down at all. They’re perfectly playable.
Moving on to more intense gaming, we see where these phones struggle. We’re talking about games like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail. These games are some of the prettiest games that you can get on a mobile phone. Thus, they bog down both of these phones to the point where you might not want to use them.

At its highest graphical setting, Genshin Impact knocks the frame rate down to the single digits at times. The rest of the time, it’s still extremely choppy. If you want to smooth out the gameplay, you’ll need to knock the graphical settings down to at most Low (one level above the lowest). Even then, it’s not particularly smooth; this just makes it playable.
Basically, if you’re looking for a gaming beast, you won’t find it in any of these phones.

В основе Tecno Camon 20 Premier лежит чипсет MediaTek Dimensity 8050. Это не новый чип, а просто переименованный Dimensity 1300, на котором также работали OnePlus Nord 2T и Vivo V25 Pro. Но и 1300 не был новым чипом, это переименованный Dimensity 1200, то есть флагманский процессор MTK 2021 года; на нём работали OnePlus Nord 2, Realme GT Neo, Vivo X70, POCO F3 GT и многие другие смартфоны. 1200 был отличной альтернативой провальному Snapdragon 888 и до сих пор является очень даже актуальным чипом. По CPU есть довольно существенный троттлинг, но критичным его назвать нельзя. А вот GPU троттлит совсем слабо, но позволяет смартфону сильно нагреваться. Точнее, начинке смартфона. Пластиковый корпус остаётся в худшем случае тёплым, даже при +50 градусах внутри телефона он не обжигает руку и комфортен для хвата. Горячим становится только керамический блок камеры, и, как я понял, ровно в этом заключается его предназначение — через этот набалдашник Tecno отводит тепло. И по-хорошему это большая проблема, ведь во время игр вы наверняка будете лезть пальцами в камеру…
Но мне не удалось раскочегарить Tecno Camon 20 Premier в играх. Даже в Genshin Impact с максимальной графикой на 60 fps. Поначалу телефон справлялся с ней неплохо; не 60 fps, конечно, но играбельно. Спустя полчаса прогрева начал уже откровенно лагать, и для плюс-минус комфортной беготни по игровому миру пришлось снизить настройки до средних. Однако, корпус был чуть тёплым и модуль камеры тоже не обжигал руки. Чуть сильнее телефон греется в SuperTuxKart на максималках, но и там спустя час ожидания играть можно было дискомфортно. Фреймрейт за всё время теста, кстати, не опускался ниже 30 fps. Если говорить о менее требовательных играх, то с ними смартфон справляется на ура, разумеется. И это не сюрприз, ведь перед нами всё-таки чип, который производительнее легендарного Snapdragon 870.
Игровое меню в прошивке есть, но совершенно бестолковое — ни настроек производительности, ни даже вывода fps на экран. Зато есть быстрый тач (он молотит на 360 Гц всегда и везде) и высокая частота обновления, которая поддерживается во всех играх, где эту возможность не заблокировал разработчик. Стереодинамики тоже улучшают игровой опыт.
Ёмкость встроенного аккумулятора стандартная — 5000 мАч. Учитывая некогда флагманское железо, рассчитывать на что-то выдающееся по батарейке не приходится. За час в игре Tecno Camon 20 Premier разрядился на 17%, за час в браузере – на 16%, за час YouTube – на 9%. Всего телефона хватает в среднем на 5-6 часов экрана. Немного, но подавляющему большинству пользователей этого достаточно на день, а ночью телефон можно и зарядить. К тому же 45-Вт «быстрая зарядка» никуда не торопится, полная подпитка занимает 70-80 минут, так что заряжать вы все равно будете ночью.
К работе GPS претензий не имею, геотреки пишутся хорошо. Один раз какой-то сбой случился, и геотрек целиком сместился на сотню метров на запад, но больше такого не повторялось.

Tecno Camon 20 Pro vs. Infinix Note 30 Pro: Camera
With all of these similarities, the camera department is where we see the biggest difference between these phones. The camera on the Infinix Note 30 Pro is miles ahead of the camera on the Camon 20 Pro. The Camon’s camera produces pictures that lack in the brightness, color, and contrast departments. Pictures taken in the bright sun look like they were taken in overcast weather. The images just look like someone tossed them into an image editor and turned down the contrast and saturation.
The story is the same when it comes to videos taken with this phone. Also, videos lacked sharpness. In our review of the Camon 20 Pro, the camera was noted to be the worst aspect of the phone, and it’s true.
The Infinix Note 30 Pro, on the other hand, produced images that were much more pleasing to the eyes. They picked up where the Camon 20 slacked on the brightness, color, and contrast. One thing that seemed to bring the images down was the camera’s tendency to make the images unnaturally warm compared to the scene. Also, and this is an issue with most digital sensors, red tones tend to sizzle. Lastly, when it comes to exposure, the camera tends to lean on the brighter side, which overexposes the images just a bit.
Overall, the clear winner in the camera department is the Infinix Note 30 Pro.
Tecno Camon 20 Pro vs. Infinix Note 30 Pro: Speakers
The speaker department is another one where these phones are practically identical. Both phones come with a pair of rather unimpressive speakers. Out of the box, these speakers lack a lot of depth. Also, it seems that they favor the higher tones. Depending on your listening tastes, that might not be and issue. Out of the box, they’re not great for listening to music, but they’re rather pleasant when listening to ASMR content.

However, in the software of both phones, you have the same tools to calibrate the speakers. You have your choice between Smart, Music, Video, and Game speaker modes that will adjust the sound to fit those types of content. The Smart mode will automatically adjust the sound based on what content you’re consuming.
When you choose a mode, you’ll have additional options that you can adjust. You can choose to boost the treble, voices, bass, or any combination of the three. Also, you can adjust the stereo setting of the sound. This gives you the ability to choose between a wide, traditional, or in-front sound.
Lastly, both phones have an EQ that you can use to further fine-tune the sound. It’s a 5-band EQ, and each band can adjust between -5dB and +5dB.
After adjusting the EQ settings, there was a noticeable difference in the sound. The EQ and settings were able to add some more depth to the sound to make it pop just a bit more. However, even after adjusting the settings, the speakers still fell a bit short of what you’d call great; they’re just good.

Tecno Camon 20 Pro vs. Infinix Note 30 Pro: Performance
Both of these phones just fly through their software. Tecno and Infinix optimized their software to work with these chips, and it shows. Both phones are fast and responsive, and they don’t have any trouble running apps. It was pretty surprising when using both phones.
When it comes to lag and stutter, the story is the same with both phones; instances of slow-down were so few and far apart that they’re negligible. You can use these phones without worrying about them getting laggy on you.
While using both phones, neither of them became particularly hot. The Infinix Note 30 Pro uses a liquid cooling system and the Camon 20 Pro’s is a bit different. However, both phones remain cool while under a heavy load.

Tecno Camon 20 Pro vs. Infinix Note 30 Pro: Build quality
When it comes to the build quality, both companies had to cut some corners to keep the price down, but there’s a noticeable difference between the two. The Camon 20 feels unapologetically mid-range. It’s rather light, and it has a soft-touch plastic on the back. Also, the frame is plastic, which is something that you won’t feel on a more expensive device.
Regardless, the phone still feels solidly built. It seems like it can take a tumble without taking any damage, and the side-mounted buttons are rather clicky.
On the other hand, the Infinix Note 30 Pro is playing a different game. This phone feels notably more premium than the Camon 20. For starters, there’s much more heft to the phone, giving it a more significant feeling in the hand. Aside from that, the phone’s back plate is made from glass, which also gives it a more premium feeling in the hand. Lastly, there’s a large metal camera island on the back.

All of these factors contribute to the more premium feeling of the Note 30 Pro. That’s impressive, as the Note 30 Pro also has a plastic frame.

Функциональных отличий между оболочками Infinix и TECNO нет. Поэтому для знакомства с возможностями прошивок вам будет достаточно изучить обзор фишек XOS. Все то же самое вы найдете в HiOS, пускай и под другими именами.
Недостатки у оболочек тоже общие. В некоторых местах встречаются косяки с переводом, а количество крупных обновлений ограничивается одной штукой. Купив смартфон TECNO или Infinix, вы в лучшем случае сможете рассчитывать на переход с Android 13 на Android 14. Не исключено, что в будущем ситуация изменится, но пока так.
Tecno Camon 20 Pro vs. Infinix Note 30 Pro: Battery
When it comes to the battery life, both phones perform admirably. With light to moderate usage, you’re able to easily get a day and a half of life on a single charge. On a heavier day with a bunch of gameplay, video-watching, etc, you might have to grab a charger at the end of the day.
The battery life is comparable between both of the phones, but when it comes to charging, the Note 30 Pro steals a slight victory. The Camon 20 Pro has 33W charging, which is pretty fast. However, the Note 30 Pro comes with much faster 68W charging.
While the wattage is more than double that of the Camon’s the charging time doesn’t see a significant boost. The higher wattage helps it charge a bit faster at the higher capacity. So, while the Infinix Note 30 Pro has faster charging, the difference isn’t huge.

И ведь характеристики достойные: экран IPS диагональю 6,6 дюйма, мощный аккумулятор, защита от капель IP53, раздельные слоты для карты памяти и двух сим-карт, сканер отпечатка пальцев. Модуля NFC нет, но это не должно удивлять за такую цену. Что касается чипа, используется MediaTek Helio A22 начального уровня, а объем ОЗУ может достигать 4 Гб, не считая виртуальной оперативной памяти. Чего-то необычного ждать от устройства в плане скорости работы не нужно – все-таки это начальный уровень, но в целом скорость работы нормальная.
Камера двойная, основной объектив – разрешением 13 МП. Качество съемки обычное – ровно такое, какое ждешь его от смартфона за небольшие деньги.

А вот по железу в смартфонах никаких сюрпризов: царь средне-бюджетного сегмента MediaTek Helio G99. Оперативной памяти 8 ГБ во всех модификациях, но на коробке написано 16 ГБ — это потому, что в настройках телефона можно выделить до 8 ГБ постоянной памяти для расширения оперативной. В Windows это когда-то называлось файлом подкачки. Объём постоянной памяти – 128 или 256 ГБ в младшей модели и 256 ГБ в старшей. Ситуация в бенчмарках вполне благостная, добиться снижения производительности от этих двоих непросто:

Игровые возможности Helio G99 мы уже знаем вдоль и поперёк, так что повторяться не буду. В не самые требовательные тайтлы, Standoff 2, например, вы сможете играть сколько угодно и с любыми настройками. Но если захотите побегать в Genshin Impact или чём-то подобном, будьте готовы скрутить графику чуть ли не на минимум, чтобы избавиться от лагов. Ну или играть с лагами, если красивая картинка вам нужнее. Стерео и быстрый тач делают процесс слегка приятнее.

Несмотря на разные размеры корпуса, батарейки в Infinix Note 30 и 30 Pro одинаковые по ёмкости — 5000 мАч. Поскольку я попеременно пользовался двумя телефонами, использование каждого из них получалось не таким уж активным, но в итоге в таком «разбавленном» режиме у меня получилось в районе 6 ч экрана за двое суток на младшей модели и 6,5 ч экрана за то же время на старшей. В общем, 6-7 часов экрана — это те показатели, на которые вам стоит ориентироваться. На день хватит даже самому требовательному пользователю, а большинству – как и мне, на два.
Мощность комплектных зарядок у смартфонов отличается: 45 Вт у младшей модели и 68 Вт у старшей. При этом, когда я первый раз замерял время зарядки, получилось, что Note 30 зарядился даже чуточку быстрее: 55 минут против 56 минут. Последующие опыты показали, что Infinix выставила Note 30 Pro очень низкий температурный порог, после которого ради безопасности замедляется зарядка. Телефон на ощупь еле тёплый, а мощность рубится чуть ли не до 20 Вт. Если же следить, чтобы он оставался прохладным, Note 30 Pro может зарядиться за 45 минут.
С зарядкой связана ещё пара фишек. Во-первых, у Note 30 Pro есть беспроводная зарядка! Я проверил, она действительно работает, но скорость замерить не смог — у меня древняя площадка на 5 Вт, а телефон поддерживает 15 Вт. Во-вторых, оба Infinix Note 30 поддерживают обходную зарядку, то есть телефоны могут работать напрямую от зарядки, минуя аккумулятор. Это снижает нагрев и удобно, например, в длительных игровых сессиях. Только хотелось бы в таком случае иметь ещё USB-порт на левом торце, чтобы провод не мешался. Но тогда скромный середняк совсем бы в игрофон превратился.
Я несколько раз ездил с телефонами на велосипеде, строя геотрек в Zepp Life, и должен сказать, что Infinix Note 30 в целом позиционируется точнее. Но, возможно, мне просто так везло — не знаю, с чего бы у смартфонов была какая-то разница по этому параметру.
Выводы
Когда Infinix Note 30 и 30 Pro только появились в России, цены были неоправданно высокими, но сейчас компания привела их в порядок. Стоит ли переплачивать за AMOLED, лучшую ночную камеру, более качественную фронталку и беспроводную зарядку? Скажу честно — не знаю. Но посоветую учитывать не только эти факторы, но и размеры корпуса: Infinix Note 30 блюдёт традиции линейки и имеет действительно крупные габариты, а вот Note 30 Pro куда стандартнее. В любом случае, мы имеем два средне-бюджетных аппарата с адекватными ценниками, хорошей начинкой, плавными экранами и неплохими основными камерами.
